I have been a primary school teacher for some 12 years, recently teaching four days a week whilst on my fifth day writing books, blogging, publishing and doing all sorts of other things. As well as being a teacher, I am a philosopher and am interested in all things philosophical. I give public talk surrounding country on all manners of thing connected to philosophy. As a result, I know my brain really very well and is I am acutely aware when it is operating at a sub-optimal level. My multiple sclerosis has allowed me to know when I cognitive deficits being at their worst.
I am a father of twin boys who are presently eight years old and who are themselves very active. At one stage, I was managing their football team, coaching rugby team and generally being a bit too active. It is perhaps doing these many things that helped contribute to the onset of my multiple sclerosis.
